shrike:
The art of fabric

Named after the bird known for impaling its prey, Shrike is a diplomat who carries blades as fluently as she carries words. Once known for quick, decisive conflict, she now prefers to talk a dispute to its end rather than fight one.

As part of a peace delegation, she spends her days negotiating and building relationships across different groups, a role that shaped every part of her design. Her outfit needed to feel polished without being too formal, reflecting someone who earns respect while putting others at ease.

We chose fabric over armour, drawing on traditional and contemporary Japanese design to shape a silhouette that moves and folds naturally, giving her presence from every angle.

Fabric over armour, folds over rigid lines. Every choice behind Shrike's look was made to answer one question: how do you dress a diplomat who used to be a warrior?

Step behind the scenes to see more about how her characteristics inspired our whole process.
